 My name is Patrick Rogan and I have been using shopmaker.co.uk for the last 3 months. My wife wanted to start a Skin Care and Cosmetic business and like most start ups we had very small budget to start our business with and a high street retail shop was out of the question. We then decided to look at the internet and my knowledge of HTML is somewhere between 0 and -10. I knew I would need a product that was user friendly and also a support system for a frustrated want to be web site owner with as much knowledge of web design you could put on the back of a postage stamp.
The cost of getting a site designed for the business due to the amount of products we stock was going to be expensive and I wanted to have the flexibility to upload my own products to save costs but also to be able to change the descriptions and or add content.
I started with an auction site shop but with the amount of products we have to list the cost of this became prohibited and any extras that you want to add to make your site look professional costs extra, and the support was nil. This is when I came across shopmaker.co.uk. on the discussion boards.
If you have an existing business, starting a business from home part time or full time or just want to start a business as a hobby this is where you want to be. I know I got into business for selling product and not building and designing web sites but I want to be able to customise the web site without having to spend £25 every time I make a change or spending 2 days a week uploading and re-listing on auction sites and costing 35 pence with every product once a week. I found with shopmaker I could save costs and be creative at the same time.
I would like to thank Richard Grove, this man is a saviour. He is on the end of a phone if you have an issue, and you don't have to wait 2 days for an email either. I would recommend that you use Richard for optimisation of your site for which he charges a small fee and well worth the investment to get your site up on the search engines quickly.
If you want to have a professional web site and work within a budget be creative and not have to spend nights learning HTML to save money this product will do it for you.
